HEARTBREAK REVEALED: Carla Abellana Finally Speaks Out — “It Still Hurts” After Seeing Tom Rodriguez’s New Wife!

Manila, Philippines — After months of silence and speculation, actress Carla Abellana has finally broken her silence — and what she revealed has left fans in shock.
In an emotional, no-holds-barred interview, Carla confessed that she was “deeply hurt” after seeing photos and videos of her ex-husband, Tom Rodriguez, with his new wife — photos that quickly went viral and shattered the hearts of fans still rooting for a reconciliation.
“I didn’t expect it would affect me this way,” she admitted. “But seeing them together… it felt like being broken all over again.”
“I Thought I Was Healing…”
Carla, known for her grace and strength throughout her split with Tom, had maintained dignity even as their separation played out publicly. But behind the scenes, the pain lingered.
Now, for the first time, she admits:
“You think you’re okay. You smile, you work, you distract yourself. But then something hits you — a photo, a headline — and you realize the wound never really healed.”
Fans were stunned by her honesty — and even more surprised that Carla, who had previously refused to comment on Tom’s personal life, is now opening up.
The Viral Photos That Reopened Old Wounds
The storm began when photos of Tom Rodriguez holding hands with a stunning Filipina-American woman surfaced online last weekend, allegedly taken during a quiet civil wedding ceremony in California.
According to sources, the woman — who remains unnamed — is not from showbiz and reportedly met Tom during his time abroad after his annulment with Carla was finalized.
Videos showed Tom beaming with joy, while the woman wore a minimalist white gown. Netizens immediately recognized the contrast between this “quiet, simple wedding” and his previous grand church ceremony with Carla.
The images made their way to Carla’s feed — and according to insiders, that’s when she broke down.
Fans React: “She Didn’t Deserve This”
Social media exploded with sympathy for Carla:
“She loved him so much, and this is how it ends?”
“She protected his name even during their breakup. Now she sees him smiling like nothing happened.”
“She deserves peace. And real love.”
Hashtags like #JusticeForCarla, #StayStrongCarla, and #TomWho trended for hours after her statement aired.
Carla’s Painful Words: “I Was Not the Problem”
In her interview, Carla didn’t hold back when asked if she felt betrayed:
“I gave everything. I bent until I broke. And still, I was made to feel like I wasn’t enough. But I’ve realized now — I was never the problem.”
She also admitted she found out about the wedding through social media, and received no warning or message from Tom.
“Not even a call. Not even a message to say, ‘I’ve moved on.’ That’s what hurt the most.”
Moving Forward: “I Won’t Pretend I’m Okay… But I Will Be”
Despite the pain, Carla ended her statement with strength:
“Let them be happy. That’s no longer my business. I’ll focus on healing, growing, and finally choosing myself.”
Friends close to the actress say she is now prioritizing her health, career, and mental wellness — and is not rushing into any new relationship.
Final Thoughts: A Love Story Ended, But A Woman Rising
What once was one of the most admired love stories in local showbiz has now become a tale of pain, betrayal, and the quiet power of walking away.
Carla Abellana may have been broken, but her truth — raw, unfiltered, and dignified — has given thousands of women the courage to speak, to feel, and to move forward without shame.
And this time, it’s not about love lost. It’s about a woman rediscovering her worth.
Carla Abellana admits to being hurt by the outcome of her relationship with Tom Rodriguez
Kapuso actress Carla Abellana’s ‘tell-all’ interview on Nelson Canlas’ podcast ‘Updated with Nelson Canlas’ is still being talked about to this day.
In the interview, Carla admitted that she is still hurt by the outcome of her relationship with her estranged husband Tom Rodriguez.
We understand Carla Abellana’s point of view when she said that she still hasn’t really come to terms with the fact that she and Tom are divorced.
There is no such thing as a divorce in the country but instead, annulment. That’s why their divorce was quick because Tom is an American citizen and covered by U.S. law.
Carla said in her interview on the GMA showbiz reporter podcast and it was also aired on GMA-7’s ’24 Oras’ that, ‘One, because divorce doesn’t exist in the Philippines. Because divorce is not for us, it is not practiced here. It seems like she hasn’t fully sunk in yet.”
“Maybe, she’ll sink in even more when it’s processed here or handled here and she’s recognized by the Philippine port.”
She also didn’t deny that she’s still hurting from the outcome of her three-month marriage with the actor.
“Yes, definitely. I won’t even hesitate to answer and say yes, definitely. But the pain doesn’t disappear overnight. You can want the pain to go away, it’s in a way something you cannot control.”
The actress also said that she really recognizes that the pain is still there.
“Definitely, it’s still there. I don’t want to say it’s not there, because that’s not true either, so definitely, it’s there.”
Tom also hasn’t been reaching out since they broke up.
“The last time I saw him was in February, but since then, no,” she said.
Remember, Carla and Tom broke up last March 2022.
Carla laughed when asked if she still loves Tom.
“Oh my gosh, wow, this is a hot seat,” she said. “Like I said, love doesn’t disappear or it doesn’t seem like you’re reducing it on purpose.”
Carla honestly said, “No, not yet. At this point, I don’t think I can handle it. If he ever calls, I can’t talk to him.”
She said that she hasn’t seen her heart yet but she knows that she should take care of it.
“I don’t know where my heart is, it’s missing. With so much going on with the heart, it needs to be taken care of, it seems like that. So, I’m taking care of it, I’m taking care of my own heart.”
